Epsilon: Business or Cult?

Epsilon has recently awakened again in the city of Los Santos, appearing in the local business directory. But, what really is Epsilon... and is it a business or... something else?

Epsilon, known to some as a religious-sect type of program, follows a specific set of ideals (and according to sources, a deity known as "Kifflom"). They consider themselves truth-seekers, with ideals such as "We are making an assault on happiness" and "We will invest in a structured study program, because we know that knowledge is not free". But at what point would you consider these tenets a dogma with cult-like beliefs and at what point would you consider them an actual business? That's what we at LSD are aiming to find out.

Epsilon already owns a building that juts out against the skyline like a mega-church, emblazoned with its ambitious logo. Now, Epsilon also has its hands on a secondary building near Vespucci where the Seasons Greetings was, according to the directory. It remains to be seen what Epsilon will actually be selling, however-- other than membership.

Two calls placed to sole listed employee, Valentino Vespucci (who, by the way, is part of DOCL) yielded almost no answers-- other than Epsilon is, by law, 'not to be listed as a cult' and 'Is a members only club'. No information was able to be gathered, however, as to what is needed to join said 'members-only club' and callers were left with more questions than answers.

So... is Epsilon a club, or a business? Is Valentino using his influence with DOCL (and apparently, his former writing of several laws of San Andreas itself) to keep Epsilon out of the public purview and listed as a business despite his insistence, verbally, that it is NOT a business... but a club? Is it a pyramid scheme, or is it actually what we all know it to truly be, but cannot legally call it (rumored to be likely due to laws written by Valentino himself) a cult? As always, we at LSD encourage you to form your own opinions-- and stay vigilant.
