Up-and-coming event planner Blissful Events made a big splash on the beach with their Blissful Beach Bash on this hot May Day. They rolled out the red carpet (or should I say rainbow carpet?) with expert fashion, giving everyone who attended a preview of what was to come.
Large rainbow arches lit up the night sky, while local artists took the stage to entertain the summer-clad party attendees. Blissful Events had their stage setup on display, their wedding arches, and party canopies. Our favorites were the arches with twinkling chandeliers.
Like any good event, Blissful Events boasted its share of food vendors such as Black Hawk Coffee and the daring Brimstone Brewery. We stopped there for a quick bite, taking in the employee's favorite loaded tots and beer-brined fried pickles. (As a note, Brimstone also has amazing sweet tea, for my sober friends). Even Silky Valentino, the owner, was present and gave us a peek at his swanky new business cards and Brimstone Exclusive Panda T-shirt. Not to be outdone, The Stella Melon food truck also made an appearance, and Brown Back Books made their debut with a list of books and greeting cards. For any aspiring author, they're definitely a business to look into if you're wanting to get published.
The night's festivities continued as Tomiko took the stage after DJ Jackal- and let's be honest, the moment you have a Kokoro artist present, the night is a guaranteed success. Even local superhero Blue Bionic and video guru Link Jordins were seen enjoying themselves at the bash. Blissful Events also booked Ishii and Ms. Shingles, though Diatribes did not manage to catch their performances.
If that wasn't enough, Blissful Events also had free jetski rentals available for guests, though many opted to drift along the waves on the inner tubes from White Water Activity Center at Tongva Falls, and a few water balloon fights broke out among the crowd-- a sure sign that Summer has arrived early.
While the ocean itself was littered with a few crashed airplanes and explosions rang out at the nearby gas station, the night was a success, and we look forward to seeing what Seraphine Samson and her team put together next.
Until next time, Los Santos!
